When constructing a show garden there is only limited time for build-up and display so designers have developed some tricks of the trade. One such trick was to build the mosaic onto marine plywood. For a permanent feature we would, of course, use a concrete sub-base. The design is of the iris of a camera. The pattern was made of slate and travertine.
