Ponds have always interested Trevor and Fiona because of the wildlife they attract so having a designer garden meant having a pond in a big way. To the right of this picture you can see the large natural pond under construction. This is now a haven for wildlife and I am just waiting for the grey crested newt to make an appearance. The rill which you can see as a cavity between two brick walls is a modern addition to the pond. It is planted with marginal aquatic plants.
